Prezi Present is the perfect tool to create unique, creative presentations that keep your audience engaged. Here’s everything you need to know about using the editor and creating your first presentation.
Get started quickly with designer templates
We have a library of customizable templates in Prezi Present that come with predesigned layouts and assets to get you started. You can choose a template from the template picker before entering the editor.
To find the perfect template for you, sort by category or color or scroll through the library. Remember that you can add, delete, and copy anything in any template. Fully customize your presentation by picking your own colors and font, too.
Many templates include an asset library so you can keep the same visual style as you customize your presentation. This might include things like headings, graphics, and icons that you can duplicate and place anywhere in your presentation. You can find the asset library right on the canvas where your presentation is by zooming out.
Navigating the canvas
Prezi Present uses an open canvas that lets you add content anywhere. You can expand or reduce the canvas area to perfectly fit your presentation. To do so, click on the Overview — the large border on the canvas — and drag to whatever size you want. You can adjust the size at any time, no matter how much of your presentation you’ve made. You can use a mouse or touchpad to navigate around canvas like a pro. Here’s how:

Structuring your presentation
Prezi Present is built to make structuring your presentation a breeze. Thinking about how you want your presentation to flow can help you take full advantage of the tools Prezi has available. A properly structured presentation can help you tell a visual story and strengthen your presentation. Let’s cover how you can start.
Using frames
Frames are the main way to focus on content and direct your audience’s attention. They are areas that you set to move and zoom into during your presentation. Think of them as windows on your canvas, or camera shots in a movie. Using frames, you control what and how much people see.
You can add frames to your presentation by clicking on the “Frame” button in the top left corner of the editor. Adjust the size of a frame by clicking and dragging on any corner. The smaller the frame is, the more it will zoom in.
Making a visual story with frames
By making a series of frames, you create a simple but powerful visual story. Movement between frames helps you connect ideas and create big reveals and effective metaphors.
Keeping related content together makes your visual story better. Think of showing an image, then moving to another frame with text explaining why that image matters. Keeping that information nearby makes a bigger impact and helps your audience stay grounded.
Inserting topics
Topics are another way of adding content to your presentation. Topics have layers that let you show your big idea first, before diving deeper and revealing more content.
To insert topics inside of Prezi Present, click on the small arrow near the “Frame” button in the top left corner of the editor. Here, you can select between Planet and Pages topic types.
Pages let you create a traditional slide-based presentation inside your canvas, while Planet topics are great for revealing related information in subtopics.
Applying the basics
Now that you know how to choose a template, move around in the editor, and add your content, you have everything you need to make great presentations.
When you’re happy with your creation, go into Presenter view and see your work in action. This is also a great opportunity to see how your presentation moves and practice before you’re in front of an audience.
We can’t wait to see what you create!
