The timeline is on the left side of the editor and shows each step of your presentation. You can use it to hop around and make edits quickly.

Using the timeline
The timeline is great for seeing each step of your presentation laid out in order. You can use it to quickly jump around to different steps, order your animations, and delete parts of your presentation.
If the timeline doesn’t appear in the editor, click the tab on the left side of the screen. This will drag out the timeline, or close it if it’s already open.
With the timeline open, you’ll see each step of the presentation labeled with a number and name. The number, as well as the order they appear from top to bottom, shows the order of the presentation.
The step you’re currently on will be outlined in green.
Navigating with the timeline
When you click on something in the timeline, you’ll be brought there on the canvas as well. This means that if you click on an animation or frame, you can quickly start editing it on the canvas.
It’s also a great way to test the movement of your presentation without entering preview or present mode. Simply click from one step to another to see how the Prezi camera moves and make adjustments from there.
Other options with the timeline
You can do things like set a custom starting point, add presenter notes, or add audio to play on each step using the timeline.
To access these options, hover over a step in the timeline. Then, click the three dots that appear over that step’s thumbnail. These options will appear here.
This is also how you delete a step from the timeline. Or, you can use the Backspace/Delete key on your keyboard.
