Using Prezi AI to design your presentation

Prezi AI can help you design your presentation in minutes. It all starts with your idea or presentation outline.

  1. Click Create with AI from your Prezi dashboard. This will launch Prezi AI.
  2. Give your presentation a relevant title and click Continue. It’s OK if it’s short.
  3. Describe your presentation. If you have an outline, enter it here and click Generate.
  4. Prezi AI will create the first draft of your presentation. This can take a bit of time.
  5. When your presentation is ready, a new AI Assistant sidebar will appear.
  6. Choose your colors, backgrounds, or design ideas and Prezi AI will update them for you. You can also generate more options at any time.
  7. If you don’t like what was created, click Update prompt and provide more direction.
  8. When you’re happy with what’s created, click Start editing to go to the editor.

Designing your presentation for the first time

Prezi AI can design your entire presentation at once so you have the perfect starting point. Here’s how:

  1. Click Create with AI from your Prezi dashboard. This will launch Prezi AI.
  2. Give your presentation a relevant title and click Continue. It’s OK if it’s short.
  3. Describe your presentation. If you have an outline, enter it here and click Generate.

Each step gives you the opportunity to describe your presentation in the way you want to. If you have specific content in mind, the perfect background, the ideal colors to use — anything goes. Describe it like you would when talking to a designer or artist.

If you have a presentation outline, you can also just enter that in the description box.

Click Generate when you’re ready to see the first draft.

Refining your Prezi AI presentation

Once Prezi AI has generated your first presentation, you can take a look around and design further before stepping into the full editor experience. Start by clicking the left arrow in the right sidebar to see what Prezi AI has created.

Generating new content with Prezi AI

If you’re not happy with the content Prezi AI has created, you can try again with a new prompt or idea. To edit your content, click the Update prompt button in the bottom right sidebar.

From here, you can give your presentation a new title and description. If you want to see more of anything, just add it to the description. This could be as simple as “add more blue” or as complex as a total re-do of the presentation. When your new prompt is ready, click Regenerate.

You can do this as many times as you’d like. Remember that you will have the chance to enter the full editor before presenting, so it may be worth it to make minor changes on your own later.

Adjusting design and background options with Prezi AI

In the right sidebar, the AI Assistant panel will appear when your presentation has been created. From here, you can pick or generate new:

  • Color options
  • Background images
  • Designs

To select a different option, click on its thumbnail. If you don’t like any of them, you can generate more by clicking on the Suggest new… button in each section. This will only create new options for that section, so don’t worry about losing a color you really like when generating new backgrounds.

If you want to revert back to Prezi AI’s original design, you can always revert your choice with the Revert to… buttons.

Entering the editor

When you’re happy with the presentation Prezi AI has created for you, click the Start editing button. This will take you to the full Prezi Present editor where you have full creative control.
