Adding video

Adding video can help make your presentation more dynamic and provide compelling stories. In Prezi Next, you can upload your own video file or add video using a YouTube link.

Paid feature: Paid feature: Video upload storage is available for users with a Plus or higher Prezi Next plan. Luckily it’s a breeze to upgrade your license and get access to this and all the other great features our Prezi plans have to offer.

Uploading your video

1. From the editor, click on the topic or subtopic where you’d like to add the video.

2. Go to Insert > Video to get the “Video” sidebar.

3. Click Select... and locate the MP4 file you’d like to upload. Make sure the file’s extension is “.mp4” before you select it.

4. You’ll see your video uploading.

5. Once it has uploaded, drag a corner to resize it.

6. Then click and drag the video to position it.

Note: We recommend adding video files that are no more than 50 MB in size to avoid a possible decrease in performance.

Supported formats

Prezi Next supports MP4 video files with .mp4 extensions. Audio should be AAC Codec.

1. Click on the topic or subtopic where you’d like to add the video. You can also add a video to the overview.

2. Go to Insert > Video to get the pop-out “Video” sidebar.

3. Copy a YouTube link and paste (CTRL/CMD+V) it in the field under “Embed YouTube.”

4. Click Insert.

5. Once your video has uploaded, resize it and move it to the position you want it on your presentation.

Remember, you’ll need an Internet connection to play any YouTube videos. Please also note your videos must comply with Prezi’s Terms of Use.

Once you reach the video in your presentation, it will enter fullscreen and play automatically .

You will see controls at the bottom of the video. You can adjust the volume and pause or play.
