Presenting and viewing a presentation offline

Do you need to present without access to the internet? You can give or view a presentation using the app while you’re offline as long as you are logged in first. This means even if your connection goes out, your presentation doesn’t have to stop, leaving your audience in suspense.

Paid feature: Presenting offline is available when using the Prezi for desktop app. This means you must have a Plus or higher Prezi plan. Luckily it’s a breeze to upgrade your license and get access to this and all the other great features our Prezi plans have to offer.

To present logged in using the app

Before you begin, make sure you’re logged in to the desktop app. You’ll need a connection at the time of log in.

  1. From the dashboard, click the Present button in the thumbnail of the presentation you want to present.
  2. Use the arrows at the bottom to navigate your presentation or use the LEFT and RIGHT arrows on your keyboard.
  3. Click on a frame or topic to jump directly to it.
  4. If you would like to zoom out, hover over the middle of the screen on the right side to view the home button to go back to the overview.

To present a downloaded file without logging in

First, you'll need to download a view-only version of your presentation using the Prezi desktop application.

You can choose to download it for Mac or Windows.

  1. From the dashboard, click the three dots (...) in the thumbnail of the presentation you want to download.
  2. On the detailed view screen, on Windows click the Download icon in the bottom right corner of the screen under Export or on Mac click Export next to Offline presentation.
  3. Check the box next to the format you’d like your portable prezi to run on. You can check both, and it will make two separate files. Then, click Export
  4. Select where you want to save the presentation(s) and click OK.

With Windows you'll get an .EXE file and with Mac, you'll get a .zip file.

Once you open the presentation, you can navigate with the arrows or the arrow keys on your keyboard.
