Changing the order of topics and subtopics

Sometimes you build your presentation and decide later that you want to change the order of talking points. Luckily, reordering the topics and subtopics of your structure is easy.

Reordering topics

1. From the overview, select a topic and drag it to a new position on your canvas. You can also use the left sidebar to reorder by clicking on a thumbnail and dragging it to a new position.

Pro Tip: Want to move around your topics or subtopics without changing the order they appear in your presentation? Press+hold CMD (Mac) or ALT (Windows) to turn off automatic reordering.

2. The position of your topic will automatically update in your presentation.

3. You can also move topics to adjust the structure’s appearance.

Reordering subtopics

1. When in a planet topic type, select the thumbnail of a subtopic and drag it to a new position in the left sidebar.

2. The position of your subtopic will automatically update in your presentation.

3. You can also move the subtopics freely on the canvas to change the structure’s appearance.

Additionally, you can change your presentation's appearance by setting the layout and structure of subtopics on your canvas.
