You already have a killer Prezi Next presentation or a PPT deck, but you want to make it even more engaging? Turn it into a Prezi Video so your audience can see your content with you on-screen for a seamless, more natural experience.
In addition, when you are using the Prezi Video app, there’s no limitation for the length of your video, you can create crisp and clear videos in full HD (check this article if you want to use an external camera for the best image quality) and you can live stream your video to present real-time.
When you open the desktop application, there are three different ways you can create your video. You are then taken to the Prezi Video editor where you can create, edit and preview your content before recording your video. Your camera is enabled so you can see yourself and your content on the screen. The camera is automatically mirrored to make recording easier, however, you can also disable mirroring by going to Camera in the top toolbar and unticking Mirror Camera in Prezi Video in the dropdown menu.
Create new
First, you'd need to download the Prezi Video desktop app and log into your account. Then, choose Create New Video. Once the video window loads, find the best layout and design for your video.
Prezi team users also have access to a variety of branded templates set up by the team admin via the brand kit. Click the Branded tab to select one of the customized templates and go back to Default to browse the template collection available for all users. Once it's done, click on Content in the bottom toolbar.
It’s time to add your content. You can add text and one image per frame by either uploading it from your computer from Choose, selecting a PPT slide from the PowerPoint button or selecting Image or Icon to search for a visual by keyword in our image and icon library. Once you are done, you can add further frames by clicking on the + icon in the left sidebar.
Once the video reached its final shape and form, it’s showtime! Click on Video Conference if you are live streaming your video and click Record if you want to share your video later.
While recording, use the three icons at the bottom left to switch between different views (only you on the screen, you and your content on the screen, only your content on the screen) and the arrows on the right to move to the next/previous frame. If necessary, you can pause your recording by clicking the red button under the video window and resume by clicking the same button again. When you're finished, click the Done recording button and your video will start processing.
Once you’re done with recording and the video is processed, you can watch it in its entirety. Don’t worry if you’re not happy with the first (or sixth) take, you can close the video window and record again to give it another try as many times as you’d like.
If you have a version you are happy with, you can remove any unwanted footage from the beginning or the end by clicking on the Trim icon. Click Save & Share when the masterpiece is finalized.
You can download your video as an .mp4 file or upload it to your Prezi account. For more detailed information on saving your video, check this article and go here to learn about sharing your video.
Import PowerPoint presentation

Once your PowerPoint presentation is converted, you can select the slides you want to include in your video (Ctrl/Cmd+click) or import all the slides in the presentation. Once you import the selected slides, they each become a separate frame in your video.
