Adding narration to your presentation (using Prezi Video)

Want your presentation to speak volumes even when you’re not in the room? With Prezi Video, you can record your narration on top of your visuals to make your message truly unforgettable. Add your voice to guide your audience, explain key points, and give your story the personal touch it deserves. It's like being there... even when you're not.

If using the online editor:
  1. Click Present > Record as a video, then choose Narrate your presentation.
  2. In the recording room, Click Start recording, use arrow keys to move through your content, pause and resume as needed.
  3. Click Finish recording, watch it and trim if needed.
  4. Choose Save video. Upload it to your Prezi dashboard to share as a link or download as an .mp4 file.
If using the desktop app:
  1. Go to Import > Prezi, select a presentation, and choose Content only below the screen.
  2. Click Record and navigate using the arrows keys. Pause and resume as needed.
  3. After recording, click Done Recording, watch it and trim if needed.
  4. Choose Save & Share. Upload it to your Prezi dashboard to share as a link or download as an .mp4 file.


Adding narration to your presentation online

You can easily turn any Prezi presentation into a video and add your voiceover from the online editor.

1. When you're done building and customizing your presentation, click on the Present button and select Record as a video.

2. Choose Narrate your presentation from the popup window.

3. You'll be redirected to the virtual Prezi Video “recording room” where you can navigate through your presentation while narrating it when recording. Your camera will not be enabled and you will see the background you set in your presentation throughout your video.

4. When you're ready, hit the red Start recording button under the video feed. The recording will start after a countdown. 

5. To navigate through your content, use the left and right arrows on the right side bar or from your keyboard. 

6. If necessary, you can pause your recording by clicking the red button under the video window and resume by clicking the same button again.

7. When you're finished, click the Finish recording button and your video will start processing. 

8. Once you're done recording your video, you can trim it to remove any unnecessary footage from the beginning and the end.

9. Click Save video. Once processed, it will be available from your Prezi Video dashboard and you can also download it as an mp4 file (paid feature).

Adding narration with the desktop app

1. Open the Prezi Video desktop app and click Import in the side panel or from the dropdown menu in the top left corner of the online editor under File > Import...

2. Under Add from cloud, select Prezi and if you haven't already, log into your Prezi account.

3. Select the presentation you'd like to use and click Import selected.

4. Once you’ve imported your presentation, the application automatically removes the background so that you can be seen next to your content while presenting. Switch to the “Content only” view at the bottom of the screen.

5. When you're ready, hit the Record button under the video feed, and Start recording. The recording will start after a countdown. 

6. To navigate through your content, use the left and right arrows. 

7. If necessary, you can pause your recording by clicking the pause button under the video window and resume by clicking the same button again.

8. When you're finished, click Done Recording and your video will start processing. 

9. Click Trim at the bottom of the screen to remove any unnecessary footage from the beginning and the end. 

10. And you're done! You can either upload your video to your Prezi Video dashboard to share it as a link or download it to your computer as an .mp4 file. 6.narration_PV_save.gif
