Creating and recording a video
Note: If you don't already have a Prezi account, please sign up so you can create and record videos in Microsoft Teams.
Click on the Prezi Video icon under a chat window, then click the plus icon (+) in the top right corner and go to Create new video. Log in to your Prezi account or choose Sign up to create an account.
After logging in, you will see the video editor load and your camera activated.
Selecting a template
Once your camera is enabled, you will see yourself on the screen. Hi! You can then choose from a variety of designer templates to use in your video. By clicking on a template, you can preview it and see how your content will look like next to you on the screen. Once you choose the template you would like to use, click Next step in the bottom right corner.
Adding Content
Add text and one image to your slides to build your video. You can choose images from our free image library, or by uploading one from your computer. If you want to add more slides, just click on the + button at the top of the screen.
Recording your video
Once you’re done with adding your content, click Next step in the bottom right corner and get ready to record your video. Take a deep breath and hit the red button to begin.
Use the three icons at the bottom left to switch between different camera views (only you on the screen, you and your content, or content only - you can also use the 1, 2 and 3 keys accordingly to switch) and the arrows on the right to move between slides. You can pause your recording any time and resume by clicking the red button in the middle. Your video can be up to 15 minutes long, and you will see a warning at the 14-minute mark. When you’re done, click the red button again to stop recording.
You can then review your video. Don’t worry if you’re not happy with the first (or sixth) take, just click Discard and record again to try as many times as you’d like. Remember: practice is the key to success!
Trimming your video
If there is some unwanted footage at the beginning or end of your video, click the scissor icon in the bottom right corner to trim off any unwanted footage.
