Turning your Prezi Classic presentation into a video

The Prezi Classic editor is a thing of the past, but it doesn't mean you have to say goodbye to your presentations and favorite features. With Prezi Present, you can view, present and edit all your Classic presentations, including all your favorite features from Prezi Classic. And more! Prezi Video, our video recording tool also allows you to take any presentation from the Prezi Present editor and record it as a video, adding your own narration to it.

Converting a presentation into a video from the Prezi Present editor

From the Prezi Present dashboard, search for your Classic presentation and open it for editing in Prezi Present by clicking the pencil icon in the presentation thumbnail.

You can still add content to your presentation or customize its look and feel. When your content is good to go, click the Create video button in the top right corner next to the Present button.

Choose the second option in the popup window, allowing you to record a video with only your content being displayed on the screen and click Continue

Please note: The option to remove the presentation background and adjust the topics to put you, the speaker in the middle is currently unavailable when converting Classic presentations, as zoom areas act differently than topics when recording a video. If you'd like to convert a Classic presentation to a video with both you and your content on the screen, you'd have to manually adjust all of your content so that it doesn't cover your face while presenting. We are working hard on finding a solution for the above-mentioned issue.

Recording a video

You'll be immediately redirected to the virtual Prezi Video “recording room” where you can navigate through your presentation while narrating it when recording. Your camera will not be enabled and you will see the background you set in your presentation throughout your video.

If necessary, you can pause your recording by clicking the red button under the video window and resume by clicking the same button again. When you're finished, click the Done recording button and your video will start processing.classictovideo1.gif

Once you're done recording your video, you can trim it to remove any unnecessary footage from the beginning and the end.

When your video is saved and processed, it will be available from your Prezi Video dashboard and you can also download it as an .mp4 file (paid feature).
