Prezi Video for Zoom App FAQ

Here you can find all the most frequently asked questions answered about setting up and using the Prezi Video for Zoom app.

Where can I find the Prezi Video for Zoom app?

You can find the Prezi Video for Zoom app listing here, or search "Prezi Video for Zoom" in the Zoom App Marketplace.

Why does Prezi Video for Zoom mirror my video?

When you open Prezi Video for Zoom, you may notice a quick change in the mirroring settings in your Zoom video. Prezi Video for Zoom needs to mirror your video so that you and other participants can read your content left-to-right instead of seeing your text mirrored, while still allowing you to point and gesture to that content in a way that feels natural. This ensures that the way you see yourself matches what other participants see, so they don't have to decipher backwards text or see you pointing away from your content instead of towards it.

Unfortunately, this might mean that if you have other text in your video feed, such as text on a t-shirt or maybe in a virtual background, that text may appear mirrored. We're working with Zoom to offer a better experience with these mirroring settings so that virtual backgrounds that rely on text will be compatible—keep an eye out for those updates.

Do I need to install anything on my computer to use Prezi Video for Zoom Apps?

Unlike past versions of the Zoom app, you don't need to install any separate controller apps to use Prezi Video for Zoom. As long as you have a Zoom account that's compatible with Zoom Apps, and you've added Prezi Video for Zoom to your Zoom account, you're ready to get started.

Why are some features not available to me?

You may notice certain feature options are disabled in your menu. These are coming soon — check back in or let us know which ones you're excited for!

Other features may be unavailable to you based on the type of Zoom license you have. Some Prezi Video for Zoom features, like customizing your nametag, are available exclusively to users who have Zoom One Pro, Business, or Business Plus licenses as a part of Zoom's Essential Apps program.
