Updating your keyboard settings to use a right-to-left language
For right-to-left scripts to work in Prezi, your computer’s keyboard settings must be changed to support a right-to-left script. Here’s how:
MacOS
- On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Keyboard in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
- Go to Text Input on the right, then click Edit.
- Click the Add button in the bottom left corner of the screen. It looks like a + button.
- Search for Arabic or another supported right-to-left script. Select one or more input sources for each language you want to use.
- Click Add.
Windows 11
- Navigate to Start > Settings > Time & language > Language & region.
- Select the language that has the keyboard you want, then select Options.
- Click Add a keyboard and choose the keyboard you want to add.
Windows 10
- Select the Start button, then navigate to Settings > Time & Language > Language.
- Under Preferred languages, select the language that contains the keyboard you want, and then select Options.
- Select Add a keyboard and choose the keyboard you want to add.
Selecting a new font in Prezi
You can select a new right-to-left font in Prezi the same way you can switch between any fonts.
- Click the Add text button from the top menu bar. A text box will appear on the canvas.
- Select the text box. A property bar will appear where you can change the font, size, color, and more.
- Click on the font family and a dropbox will appear. Select the new font you want to use. You can filter for Arabic or Hebrew fonts if you wish.
If you don’t have any right-to-left font options in your font family, you can enable them.
-
- From the font family, select More fonts.
- In the list that appears, filter for Arabic or Hebrew and enable the fonts you like. Remember their names so you can easily find them later.
- Click the Update fonts button.
- Click on the font family dropbox and select your preferred font.
- Follow the steps above to use the font in your presentation.
