Quick steps:

  1. Open your presentation and go to the place where you want the video.
  2. Click Media at the top, then select Video.
  3. Choose to upload an MP4 file (audio with AAC Codec) or embed a YouTube link.
  4. Adjust the video’s size, position, and playback settings.
  5. For videos recorded on your phone, you might need to convert its audio to AAC Codec before uploading it to your presentation.

How do I upload a video file in Prezi Present?

When uploading a video file in Prezi Present, you can add an MP4 file (with AAC audio codec) from your computer or cloud storage.

To upload a video:

  1. Open your Prezi Present project and go to the desired location.
  2. Click Media on the top toolbar, then select Video.
  3. In the right sidebar:
    • Click Upload video to choose an MP4 file from your computer.
    • Click the arrow next to the button to select a file from Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive.
  4. After upload, move, resize, or rotate your video as needed.
  5. Prezi automatically adds a Zoom to video animation to your timeline so it plays automatically during your presentation.
  6. To keep the video on screen without full-screen playback, delete the Zoom to video animation. You can still play it by clicking Play or double-clicking to go full-screen during your presentation.

How do I add a YouTube video to my Prezi presentation?

When embedding a YouTube video in Prezi Present, you can use a direct link to display it inside your presentation.

To add a YouTube video:

  1. Open your presentation in Prezi Present and navigate to where you want the video.
  2. Click Media, then choose Video.
  3. Paste your YouTube link into the “Embed YouTube” field.
    • If your link includes a custom start time, Prezi will respect it.
  4. Click Insert.
  5. Move, resize, and rotate the video as needed.
  6. Prezi automatically adds a Zoom to video animation so your video plays in fullscreen when reached.

Note: You’ll need an Internet connection to play any YouTube videos in Prezi Present. Videos must comply with Prezi’s Terms of Service.

How do I play videos in Prezi Present?

When playing a video in Prezi Present:

  • Uploaded MP4 videos can play inline or fullscreen, depending on your timeline setup.
  • YouTube videos play automatically in fullscreen.

During playback, use the controls at the bottom of the screen to:

  • Play / pause the video.
  • Adjust the volume.
  • For YouTube videos, control captions, subtitles, speed, or quality (depending on the original video).
