Adding videos can help make your presentation more dynamic and provide compelling stories. In Prezi Present, you can upload your own video file or add video using a YouTube link.
Uploading your video
1. Navigate to the place in your presentation where you’d like to add the video.
2. Click the Insert button at the top of your screen, then select Video.
3. In the sidebar, you can either:
- Add a video from your own library
- Upload a file from your computer by clicking Upload video
- Click the arrow next to the button to select a file from Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive
- Embed a video from YouTube
4. After the file uploads, you can move, resize, and rotate the video as needed.
Note: Make sure the file's extension is ".mp4" before uploading it and we recommend adding video files that are no more than 50 MB in size to avoid a possible decrease in performance.
Supported formats
Prezi Present supports MP4 video files with .mp4 extensions. Audio should be in AAC Codec (HE-AAC codecs are not supported).
Adding video using a YouTube link
1. Navigate to the place in your presentation where you’d like to add the video.
2. Click the Insert button at the top of your screen, then select Video.
3. In the sidebar, copy+paste (CTRL/CMD+V) a YouTube link in the field under “Embed YouTube.”
4. Click Insert.
5. After the video loads, you can move, resize, and rotate the video as needed.
Note: You’ll need an Internet connection to play any YouTube videos. Please also note your videos must comply with Prezi’s Terms of Use.
Playing a video
Once you reach the video in your presentation, it will enter fullscreen and play automatically.
You will see controls at the bottom of your screen where you can adjust the volume and pause or play.
For YouTube links, you may also see other controls such as closed captioning and subtitles and speed and quality settings, depending on what is available on the original YouTube video.
Note: If you would like to check a video in action while editing, please go to Present mode as they cannot be played directly from the editor.
