Adding and changing the background in Prezi Present

Adding a background image is a great way to set the look and feel of your presentation. Used strategically with the structure of your presentation, you can create an effective and memorable masterpiece that’s sure to win over your audience.

Background colors can do the same and help you maintain color consistency or create a background that easily blends with the rest of your presentation.

Pro Tip: Do you want to learn how to use this and many other features in Prezi Present? You can sign up for one of our free online trainings here!

You can add or change an image to the background using the “Background” sidebar. From here, you can also change your background color.

Adding and changing a background image

1. Click the Style button at the top of your screen.

2. Click the Background button to open the sidebar.

3. From the "Background" sidebar, you can:

  • Click Upload image to add an image saved on your computer or click the arrow next to the button to select a file from Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive.
  • Search the Unsplash image library by keyword. Once you find the image you want to use, click on the thumbnail or drag and drop it onto your canvas.*

You can also access the background sidebar by right-clicking in the editor and selecting Change background.

*Paid feature: Access to the searchable Prezi icon and image library is available for users with a Standard or higher Prezi plan. Luckily it’s a breeze to upgrade your license and get access to this and all the other great features our Prezi plans have to offer.

Did you know: You can also create a color scheme by using the colors of your background image or logo. To learn more, please check our article on adding colors and creating a color scheme.
