Lines and arrows are great tools to highlight information or illustrate how ideas connect. They also help direct flow and add a nice element of design.
1. Click the Shape button in the top menu, then select the Line or Arrow button. 2. Double-click or drag and drop the line or arrow where you would like to insert it in your presentation. 3. Use the property bar to change color and thickness. 4. Once selected, use the white squares to resize or add a curve to your line or arrow. |
Adding lines and arrows
Lines and arrows colors come set according to a template’s theme. You can always change its color after adding the line or arrow to your presentation.
To add lines or arrows
1. Click the Shape button in the top menu, then select the Line or Arrow button.
2. Double-click or drag and drop the line or arrow that you’d like to insert.
3. You can then place the line or arrow where you want it on your presentation.
Editing lines and arrows
You can change the length, curve, color, thickness of lines and arrows at any time.
To edit length
1. Click on the line or arrow to select it.
2. Drag an endpoint in or out to make it shorter or longer.
To add a curve
1. Click on the line or arrow to select it.
2. Drag the middle point to add a curve.
To change color
1. Click on the line or arrow to select it.
2. Click the Fill color button in the property bar to bring up the color palette. You can choose from the preset theme or standard colors or add a customized color using its hexadecimal code or by selecting it from the color chooser.
3. Change the opacity if desired.
4. If you’ve changed the color but would like to return to the theme color, click Presets in the context toolbar and choose from the preset colors.
To change thickness
1. Click on the line or arrow to select it.
2. Click the Thickness button in the property bar, then use the buttons to decrease or increase thickness.
Deleting lines and arrows
To delete a line or arrow, simply click to select it and press BACKSPACE/DELETE on your keyboard. You can also right-click (CTRL/CMD+click) and select Delete from the menu.
