Editing images in Infographics (Prezi Design)

After you've added an image to your design, you can edit and customize it to your needs. Crop the image, apply a mask to it, use various filters, and do much more! Read below to see how.

Resizing the image

  1. Select the image by clicking on it.
  2. Hover over one of the corners or sides. When you see a double-headed arrow appear, click and drag your mouse to either side.
  3. Alternatively, you can also enter the preferred width and height in the right-side settings panel.

Rotating the image

  1. Select the image by clicking on it. You'll notice a rotation handle appear at the bottom left corner of the image.
  2. Click on the handle and drag your mouse to rotate the image.
  3. Alternatively, you can enter the degree of rotation in the right-side settings panel.

Cropping the image

  1. Select the image by clicking on it.
  2. In the settings panel on the right, click on the Crop button.
  3. Reposition the trim marks to choose the area of the image you wish to crop.
  4. When you're done adjusting the trim marks, click outside of the image or tap Enter (or Return) on the keyboard.

Applying a mask to your image

The mask option allows you to place an icon over the image and mask everything around its edges. Use a circle, an arrow, a heart, or any other icon you can look up in the graphic library.

  1. Select the image by clicking on it.
  2. In the settings panel on the right, click on the Mask button.
  3. Look up the shape you want to use as a mask. Use the search bar to get more options.
  4. Click on the mask or drag it onto your image. Reposition and resize it to your liking.
  5. Once you're done, click outside of the image or tap Enter (or Return) on the keyboard.
  6. Drag the corners of the masked image inwards or outwards to resize it.

Adding a filter to your image

It's also possible to add various filters to your images and adjust them to your liking.

  1. Select the image by clicking on it.
  2. In the settings panel on the right, click on the Filter & adjust button.
  3. Click on the image thumbnails to see how the filters look like. You can adjust the intensity in the slider at the bottom.
  4. To introduce additional adjustments to the image and the filter, go to the Adjust tab.
  5. Move the sliders around to get a result you're happy with. If you'd like to revert to the original image, click Reset to default.

Removing the background

  1. Select the image by clicking on it.
  2. In the settings panel on the right, click on the Remove background button. For better results, use images that have a clear contrast between the foreground and the background.
  3. That's it! You can then resize and edit the image how you want.
