With Prezi Design, you can create posts for any social media site of your choice – design animated GIFs and MP4s for Instagram and Facebook, upload JPGs and PNGs to LinkedIn, create colorful Pinterest posts, and do much more.

Step 1: Choosing a template
Prezi Design has a couple of hundred social media post templates for Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Pick one and customize it to your needs or start from scratch.
- At the top of the Prezi Design dashboard, select Start from template or Social media posts.
- In the template library, click on the template thumbnails to get a preview.
- Once you've found the template you'd like to use, select Use this template to open the editor.
To start a project from scratch, select one of the blank thumbnails from the template list or choose Create custom size in the left-side panel and pick a size from the dropdown or enter the dimensions yourself.
Here are the standard sizes for posts on some of the most popular social media sites:
- Square images: 1,080 x 1,080 pixels
- Vertical images: 1,080 x 1,350 pixels
- Stories: 1,080 x 1,920 pixels
- Horizontal images: 1,200 x 628 pixels
- Vertical images: 1,080 x 1,350 pixels
- Stories: 1,080 x 1,920 pixels
- Horizontal images: 1,200 x 675 pixels
- Multiple images: 1,200 x 675 pixels
- Horizontal images on company page or personal profile: 1,104 x 736 pixels
- Images: 1,000 x 1,500 pixels

- Thumbnails: 1,280 x 720 pixels
Step 2: Adding and editing content
Once you're in the editor, it's time to customize the template and add your content. You can introduce new text objects, charts, maps, images, icons, GIFs, shapes, and a lot more. Here are a few pointers:
- Use the toolbar on the left of the editor to add new objects to the canvas. Select one of the categories, then simply drag and drop an item onto the canvas. Learn more in the article on adding, moving, and layering objects in Prezi Design.
- Once you add something to the canvas, you can customize the object in the settings panel on the right.
- Use our vast graphic library to make your social media post stand out. Select Add graphics in the left-side toolbar and add icons, images, GIFs, and video covers. Learn more in the Graphics and media subsection of our knowledge base.
- To upload your own visual assets, select Add graphics, then Upload an image or video. Pick the file from your computer, then Open. You can upload JPGs, PNGs, SVGs, GIFs, and MP4 videos.
- To resize the objects on the canvas, hover over one of the sides or corners of an object, then click and drag your mouse pointer.
- Use guides and gridlines to structure and organize your content.
Step 3: Adding animations
When creating a social media post, you can make it more engaging by adding animations to your content.
- Pick the object you want to animate by clicking on it.
- Select Add animation in the settings panel on the right.
- Hover over the thumbnails to preview the animations and select one by clicking on it.
- Adjust the animation: set its duration; add a delay; change the distance.
- In the dropdown next to Play, select whether the animation will play just once or on repeat (always).

Step 4: Downloading your content
Once you're done working on your social media post, it's time to share it with the world.
- Click the Download button in the top right corner of the editor.
- If you're looking to share a static social media post, pick PNG or JPG at the top. However, if you've added some animations, choose GIF or MP4.
- Make the final adjustments in the right-side panel and select Download to save the file to your computer. Learn more in the article on downloading your content in Prezi Design.
